Crackdown and raid carried out jointly by local police, CISF and BCCL staff

In a major crackdown on illegal coal mining and smuggling, a joint team comprising Barora Police, CISF, and Barora Regional Management of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) conducted a raid near Mandal Kenduadih village in the Barora area on Wednesday.

The coordinated operation was carried out between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., during which approximately 27.5 tonnes of illegally mined coal were recovered. The seized coal was subsequently transported to KKC Link Siding in accordance with established procedures and regulations. The illegal pit from where the coal was being extracted was also sealed to prevent further unlawful activity.

Officials from the regional management stated that such joint operations are being intensified to curb illegal mining, protect Coal India Limited’s assets, and ensure operational safety in sensitive areas. They emphasized that coordinated action with law enforcement agencies is crucial to safeguarding national resources.

Personnel from Barora Police and CISF reiterated that surveillance and enforcement drives will continue in vulnerable zones to establish complete control over illegal mining and coal smuggling activities.

The operation underscores effective coordination between the local administration, security forces, and PSU management, reflecting a strong commitment to maintaining law and order while protecting valuable coal resources in the region.
