74th Republic Day Celebrated With Great Enthusiasm At MTPS Kanti
Blankets were distributed among the Jeevika Didis trained for mushroom cultivation
Mr Debasis Sahu, Project Head, was present as the chief guest at the function. The Republic Day celebrations started with the flag hoisting by the Chief Guest Mr. Debasis Sahu.
After that, parade contingents of the Central Industrial Security Force, Fire Protection Force, City Security Force and DAV school children gave salutes and displayed an excellent parade. In his address, Mr. Sahu congratulated all those present on Republic Day. He remembered the freedom fighters of the country, whose sacrifices made India a republic nation on the world map.
On this occasion, the chief guest Mr. Sahu gave a message of peace by leaving balloons in the open sky, as well as distributing blankets among the Jeevika didis trained for mushroom cultivation under the social corporate responsibility of MTPS in the surrounding areas. He said that the project NTPC is determined to organize health, education, employment and basic facilities in the surrounding area. He also said that the area’s development will happen only with the participation of the local people. Shri Sahoo also mentioned several achievements of MTPS.
Senior officials of MTPS also took part in the occasion. Employees of MTPS were awarded under CEO Meritorious Award for their excellent work in their respective fields.
On this occasion Shri K. MK. Pushti, General Manager (Operations & Maintenance), Mr Ananda Banerjee, General Manager (Maintenance), Mr Partha Nag, General Manager (Operations), Mr Manoj Sinha, General Manager (Contracts & Material & Technical Services), Mrs Suparna Sahu, President (Sanghamitra Mahila Mandal) Dr Rakesh Nandan Sahay, Additional General Manager (Human Resource), and other dignitaries were present.
