96-Year-Old Donates ₹7 Lakh to CM Relief Fund; CM Dhami Lauds Gesture
Chief Minister conveyed his gratitude on behalf of the state and lauded Rawat’s contribution as an inspiring example of selfless service

In a heartwarming display of generosity, 96-year-old Jabar Singh Rawat, a resident of Panditwadi, Dehradun, donated ₹7 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for disaster reconstruction work in Uttarakhand.
On Saturday, Rawat personally met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at his residence and handed over the contribution.
Expressing deep gratitude, Chief Minister Dhami praised Rawat’s noble gesture, saying, “The soil of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is enriched not only with faith and bravery but also with the spirit of service and sensitivity. Jabar Singh Rawat is a living example of this.”
Felicitating him with a shawl, the Chief Minister described Rawat’s contribution as more than financial assistance, calling it a symbol of compassion, responsibility, and inspiration. “Even at the age of 96, his dedication is a source of motivation for generations. His act reflects Uttarakhand’s cultural consciousness and collective responsibility at a time when the state is facing a difficult period of disaster,” Dhami said.
