Steel Executive Association Requests AP Power Minister To Defer And Make Instalments Of RINL Electricity Bills
This demand has been made for a period of 6 months so that RINL can get some breathing space to overcome financial crisis
Steel Executive Association, while representing the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (RINL), requested Minister of Power of AP Gottipati Ravi Kumar that due to severe working capital issue, RINL is not able to pay power bills punctually. In addition, the recent agitation of the Adani Gangavaram Port Ltd workers has resulted in sudden and huge loss of Rs. 3000 Cr revenue in the past two months. All these factors have added to the difficulties being faced by the RINL in meeting financial requirements including salaries on time. The SEA requested AP Power Minister to recommend deferment of payment of power bill and also make instalments of the same, for a period of 6 months so that RINL will get some breathing space to over come the crisis.
