In line with the Government of India’s Digital India vision and as part of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances’ Special Campaign 5.0 focusing on digitisation and good governance, South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has made significant strides in 2025 toward accelerating its digital transformation journey.
Through a comprehensive suite of innovative portals and applications, SECL is reshaping operational efficiency, employee empowerment, and transparency across all functional levels of the organisation.
Major Digital Initiatives of SECL in 2025
Internal Selection Portal:
An innovative HR tool that streamlines the internal selection and promotion process for non-executive employees. It enables online applications, status tracking, and digital scrutiny — ensuring transparency and efficiency in human resource management.

HPV Vaccination Portal:
Under Mission Sanjeevani, SECL launched a dedicated portal to manage HPV vaccination drives for employees and their dependents. The system enables digital scheduling, identification, certification, and real-time progress tracking, promoting health accountability.

Jatayu Dashboard:
A comprehensive decision-support platform that consolidates circulars, manuals, guidelines, and SOPs — ensuring employees have instant access to the latest regulatory information for better compliance and governance.

Contract Monitoring Portal:
This digital system centralises the tracking of active contracts to enhance compliance, timely closure, and accountability — thereby strengthening contract governance and reducing administrative delays.

Security Pass Portal:
Currently under trial, this application will digitise the issuance of entry passes for vehicles, employees, and visitors at SECL’s headquarters and colonies — ensuring enhanced campus security and administrative convenience.

Manpower Budget Portal:
This platform facilitates accurate manpower forecasting and planning by aggregating data from all SECL units, enabling transparent and data-driven budget preparation.
Land & R&R (L&R) Portal:
A landmark initiative in land management, the L&R Portal digitally tracks land acquisition, compensation, possession, and employment records — enabling plot-wise analysis and transparent reporting.
SECL Coal Component Calculator:
A user-friendly tool designed for coal consumers to calculate coal value and security deposits precisely — fostering financial clarity and customer satisfaction.
Compensation and PI Bill Information Portal:
This application digitises compensation and performance incentive bill processing, leading to faster approvals and greater accountability.
