Bank of Baroda Engages with Over 3.65 Lakh Farmers During 8th Edition of ‘Baroda Kisan Pakhwada’
Sanctions agri loans worth ₹5,636 crore during the nationwide programme themed “Towards Atmanirbharta”

Bank of Baroda, one of India’s leading public sector banks, has successfully concluded the 8th edition of its flagship rural outreach initiative, ‘Baroda Kisan Pakhwada’, held from 3rd to 15th November 2025. During the fortnight-long programme, the Bank engaged with over 3.65 lakh farmers across the country and sanctioned agriculture loans exceeding ₹5,636 crore.
This year’s theme, “Towards Atmanirbharta”, underscored the Bank’s commitment to expanding financial inclusion and empowering India’s farming community.
As part of the initiative, Bank of Baroda organised Kisan Melas, Kisan Meets, choupals, credit camps, and financial literacy sessions nationwide. Farmers received guidance on modern agricultural equipment, drone technology, and loan offerings for FPOs and SHGs, with many receiving sanction letters on the spot.
The programme also highlighted the Bank’s digital offerings—the Digital Baroda Kisan Credit Card (BKCC) integrated with RBIH for digital land records, and the Digital Gold Loan, both aimed at providing farmers with faster and more convenient access to credit.
Lal Singh, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda, said, “The 8th edition of Baroda Kisan Pakhwada reflects our continued commitment to serve India’s farmers with solutions that are accessible, reliable, and increasingly digital. Whether through our Digital BKCC, Digital Gold Loan or our on-ground outreach programmes, the aim is to strengthen our engagement and support by making credit simpler and more empowering for every farmer. We remain deeply committed to supporting the agricultural community and contributing to their progress and self-reliance.”
Bank of Baroda’s lending to the agriculture sector stood at ₹1,69,703 crore as of 30th September 2025, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 17.4%. With a strong rural presence and a robust suite of agri and digital banking solutions, the Bank continues to play a significant role in strengthening India’s agricultural ecosystem.
