Introductory Meetings of BCCL Central Advisory Committee and Welfare Committee Held at Coal Bhawan
CMD BCCL underscores welfare, safety and constructive dialogue to strengthen employee-centric policies

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) today held introductory meetings of its Central Advisory Committee and Welfare Committee at Coal Bhawan Headquarters under the chairmanship of Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Manoj Kumar Agarwal. The meetings marked an important step towards strengthening structured and constructive dialogue between the management and employee representatives.
Senior officials present on the occasion included Director (Human Resources) Murali Krishna Ramaiah, Director (Technical–Operations) Sanjay Kumar Singh, OSD (Finance) Rajesh Kumar, General Manager (HR) Kumar Manoj, General Manager (PF & Pension) Manish Mishra, General Manager (Administration) Arpan Ghosh, Head of Department (CSR / Industrial Relations) Surendra Bhushan, Head of Department (Welfare) Kiran Rani Nayak, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Bandana, along with other senior officers of the headquarters.

Members of the BCCL Central Advisory Committee present included Bhavani Bandopadhyay, Arjun Singh, Hari Prasad Pappu, R. Tiwari, Gopal Mishra and Murari Tanti.
The BCCL Welfare Committee meeting was attended by respected representatives Sanjeet Singh (JMS), Krishna Kumar Singh (DCKS), Bhavani Bandopadhyay (UCWU), Nitai Mahato (BCKU), S.S. Dey (KIMP) and Ashok Kumar Sahu (BCMU).
In his presidential address, CMD Manoj Kumar Agarwal reaffirmed BCCL’s unwavering commitment to the welfare, safety and holistic development of its employees. He emphasised that both the Central Advisory Committee and the Welfare Committee serve as vital platforms for meaningful engagement between management and employee organisations, playing a key role in shaping employee-centric policies and strengthening industrial harmony.

Highlighting the importance of transparent communication and mutual trust, the CMD encouraged committee members to actively participate and offer constructive suggestions on welfare initiatives, safety measures, employee development programmes and social responsibility efforts, stating that cooperative dialogue forms the foundation of a strong and progressive industrial environment.

The meetings witnessed positive and constructive deliberations on a range of organisational and employee-related issues. Committee members appreciated the initiative taken by the management, describing the interaction as a significant step towards enhancing cooperation, transparency and trust within the organisation.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming the shared commitment of the management and committee members towards the continued growth, stability and well-being of BCCL and its workforce.
