IIM Jammu Concludes Supervisory Development Programme for NHPC Executives
Supervisory development programme enhances leadership, communication, and AI-enabled decision-making skills for NHPC executives

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu successfully concluded the Supervisory Development Programme for executives of the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) with a valedictory ceremony held at the IIM Jammu campus on Friday.
The programme was designed to enhance supervisory capabilities, leadership effectiveness, and operational efficiency, equipping participants to address evolving workplace challenges in a dynamic organizational environment.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Sanjeev Pathak, Chairperson, Executive Education and Consultancy, IIM Jammu, described the batch as one of exceptional engagement and commitment. He expressed satisfaction that the participants not only gained valuable learning outcomes but also enjoyed the programme experience. Emphasising IIM Jammu’s focus on practical, industry-relevant learning grounded in real-life challenges and proven practices, Prof. Pathak underlined the importance of continuous learning beyond the classroom. He encouraged participants to remain connected with the Institute and wished them continued professional success.
Prof. Pranab Ranjan Das, Programme Director, IIM Jammu, noted that every beginning leads to a meaningful conclusion and highlighted the programme as a two-way learning process, where both participants and faculty benefited from shared experiences and practical insights. He appreciated the active participation of NHPC executives and expressed hope for deeper academic collaboration in the future.
Presenting the programme report, Dr. Eshika Aggarwal, Programme Director, IIM Jammu, stated that the programme addressed contemporary workplace challenges by integrating behavioural and functional dimensions. She highlighted the use of interactive pedagogy, including group activities, case discussions, presentations, and experiential learning, with focused sessions on entrepreneurship and advanced AI tools. She added that the programme resulted in enhanced clarity, improved communication, stronger leadership capabilities, and effective team engagement, successfully meeting its objectives.
Participants shared that the programme was well-structured and strategically designed, enabling them to better formulate and execute workplace strategies. They appreciated the guidance and support of the Programme Directors and the Executive Education and Consultancy team at IIM Jammu, which helped them reflect on their strengths and areas for improvement. The participants also highlighted the value of peer learning, leadership and communication modules, strategic thinking sessions, and the practical application of AI tools for content development and decision-making support.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Garima Saini, IIM Jammu, followed by the distribution of certificates to the participants, reaffirming IIM Jammu’s commitment to industry-oriented executive education and capacity building in collaboration with leading public sector organizations such as NHPC.
