PNB Organises Salary Account Facilitation Camp at DFS Premises in New Delhi

Punjab National Bank (PNB), one of India’s leading public sector banks, organised a Salary Account Facilitation Camp at the premises of the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, New Delhi. The initiative aimed at delivering seamless and convenient banking services directly to Central Government employees at their workplace.

The programme aligns with ongoing initiatives of DFS to enhance financial inclusion and improve service accessibility for government employees through coordinated efforts of Public Sector Banks.

The gathering was addressed by M. Nagaraju, Secretary, DFS, and Ashok Chandra, MD & CEO of PNB. The event was attended by senior dignitaries including Shalini Pandit, Joint Secretary, DFS; Manoj Muttathil Ayyappan, Joint Secretary, DFS; Chandradeep Kumar Jha, DDG, DFS; and Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra, Executive Director, PNB, along with senior officials from DFS, Public Sector Banks and The New India Assurance Company Limited.

Under the DFS initiative, all Public Sector Banks have introduced customised salary account packages designed specifically for Central Government employees, combining financial convenience with enhanced family security and insurance benefits.

Speaking on the occasion, M. Nagaraju highlighted that the initiative reflects the Government’s commitment to ensuring effective outreach of financial services. He appreciated the collaborative efforts of Public Sector Banks in developing integrated banking solutions and encouraged employees to actively participate and avail the benefits offered under the salary account packages.

Addressing the gathering, Ashok Chandra said that Public Sector Banks are privileged to provide comprehensive salary account solutions focused on convenience, financial protection, and value-added services.
