7 New Chopper Services Launched In Uttarakhand, Jolly Grant Airport’s New Terminal Building Also Inaugurated

While heli services were started for remote areas of the state, the new terminal building of Jolly Grant Airport was also inaugurated. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia flagged off various heli services in Uttarakhand at Jolly Grant Airport. He also inaugurated the new terminal building of Jolly Grant Airport. On this occasion, Union Minister Shri Scindia made announcements for new air service from Dehradun airport to three places in Uttarakhand, starting 18 new helicopter routes and developing international level facilities at Dehradun airport.

Heli services started for seven new routes in the state

Helisewa for Dehradun-Haldwani/Pantnagar-Dehradun and Sahastradhara-Chinyalisaur-Sahastradhara flagged off by Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami and Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia today. With this, heli services have started for seven new routes in the state from today. Among these, heli service has been started by Pawan Hans for Dehradun-Haldwani/Pantnagar-Dehradun, Pantnagar-Pithoragarh-Pantnagar, Dehradun-Srinagar-Dehradun, Dehradun-Gauchar-Dehradun and Dehradun-Pithoragarh-Dehradun. Whereas Heiliseva has been started by Heritage for Sahastradhara-Chinyalisaur-Sahastradhara and Sahastradhara-Gauchar-Sahastradhara.

Jolly Grant Airport will be seen in a new form, capacity expanded

Jolly Grant airport of Dehradun will also appear in a new form. Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia and Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami jointly inaugurated the new terminal building at Dehradun (Jolly Grant) Airport. Tourists and travelers coming from all over the country will also have a glimpse of the art and culture of Uttarakhand in the new terminal building. Here all the aspects of art culture including Char Dham, Brahma Kamal of Uttarakhand have been displayed. With the construction of the new terminal building, the area of ​​Dehradun Airport and the hourly passenger movement there has increased by almost 6 times. Phase 1 of the new terminal building has been completed by the Airport Authority. The terminal building constructed in Phase I has a total area of ​​28,729 square meters at a cost of Rs 325 crore. The work of second phase is also in progress. In Phase-II, the building will be further expanded to an area of ​​14,047 square meters at a cost of Rs 132 crore.

Rapid expansion of air connectivity in the state: CM Pushkar Singh Dhami

While addressing the program, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that air connectivity is being strengthened in the state with the cooperation of the Central Government. The state government has reduced the weight of Aviation Turbo Fuel (ATF) in Uttarakhand from 20 percent to 2 percent, the intention behind this is that more and more heli companies should move to Uttarakhand in the field of air connectivity. He said that it is the endeavor of the government that by 2025, Uttarakhand should develop into an ideal state, which can be recognized as a cultural and spiritual center.

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, India is moving towards becoming a world guru, becoming powerful, glorious and glorious. He said that many historical works including Chardham road scheme, Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line, Kedarnath reconstruction in Uttarakhand are going on under the guidance of Prime Minister. The Chief Minister said that Chardham Yatra is the basis of livelihood of the local people, it is the endeavor of the government to provide better facilities to every traveler coming for Char Dham Yatra.

Tourism will increase due to increase in air connectivity: Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia

Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s thinking is that common man can also travel by air easily. To bring this thinking on the ground, air connectivity routes are being increased across the country. Airports are being expanded, upgraded and beautified. Earlier, 250 persons could move in Dehradun airport per hour, this capacity has also increased to 1200 persons. He said that now the Phase-II work will start in Dehradun airport, on completion of which this capacity will become 1800 persons per hour. Scindia said that ‘I have an old relation with Uttarakhand. Today is also an emotional moment for me. I had come to Dehradun 30 years ago to study. For 5 years I learned the high values ​​of life here. He said that Uttarakhand is truly Devlok. The whole country gets blessings from here. This is a region where there is immense potential for natural beauty, tourism, industry, trade. Together, the Central and State Governments will take Uttarakhand to new heights. Scindia said that civil aviation and tourism are two sides of the same coin. Due to this thinking, the facilities of air travel are being increased in Uttarakhand.
