As the holy month of Shravan approaches, all ticket slots for attending four of the five daily aartis at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple have been fully booked. The temple administration has confirmed that more than 1.5 crore devotees are expected to pay homage at Baba Vishwanath Mandir from July 11 to August 9.
According to Vishwa Bhushan Mishra, CEO of the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, online ticket booking for Mangala Aarti, Bhog Aarti, Saptarishi Aarti, and Shringar/Bhog Aarti is now completely full for the entire month. However, Shayan Aarti, the nightly ritual where Baba is put to rest with devotional bhajans by Kashi’s residents, remains free and open to all, as per age-old tradition.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the local administration to ensure comprehensive arrangements for the large influx of devotees, emphasizing security, cleanliness, essential facilities, and crowd management.
Shravan is considered one of the holiest months for the worship of Lord Shiva, and the rush at Baba Vishwanath’s temple during this period reflects the deep-rooted faith of millions in Sanatan tradition.
