Union Home Minister praises CM Pushkar Singh Dhami’s governance; says infiltrators will be expelled from Kedarnath to Kanyakumari

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Saturday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth ₹1,129.91 crore at the ‘Jan Jan Ki Sarkar, 4 Saal Bemisal’ programme held at Bairagi Camp in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.

The event, marking four years of the government led by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, witnessed a massive turnout with women, youth and people from across the state attending the programme. Saints and Mahamandaleshwars from various Akharas were also present and blessed the leaders.
Shah inaugurated 17 schemes worth ₹115.10 crore and laid the foundation stone for 22 schemes worth ₹1,014.81 crore. These projects include police housing, prison infrastructure, bridges, disaster management works and development projects under the Haridwar Ganga Corridor initiative.
Addressing the gathering, Shah recalled the Uttarakhand statehood movement and said the period from 2017 to 2026 has been dedicated to the state’s development. He praised the Dhami government for bringing transparency in recruitment through the anti-copying law and for removing encroachments from thousands of acres of government land.

Highlighting national initiatives, Shah said the government has replaced colonial-era laws and aims to ensure that court cases reach a final decision within three years after an FIR is filed once the new judicial framework is fully implemented by 2028.
Referring to national security, the Home Minister asserted that the government is determined to remove illegal infiltrators from the country. “Infiltrators will be thrown out from Kedarnath to Kanyakumari,” he said.
Shah also highlighted increased central assistance to Uttarakhand, stating that the state has received around ₹1.87 lakh crore from the Centre since 2014, compared to about ₹54,000 crore between 2004 and 2014. He added that the state’s per capita income has risen from ₹1.25 lakh to about ₹2.60 lakh during this period.
