Amresh Prasad Assumes Charge as Executive Director of Union Bank of India

Amresh Prasad has officially taken charge as the Executive Director of Union Bank of India, marking a significant addition to the bank’s top leadership team.
Before assuming his new role, Prasad served as the Chief General Manager at Punjab National Bank (PNB), where he was posted at the Corporate Office. His career spans over 32 years of comprehensive banking experience, covering branch operations, Zonal Office responsibilities, and senior leadership roles at the Head Office level.
Throughout his professional journey, Prasad has contributed extensively in critical domains such as Corporate Credit, Credit Review & Monitoring, and Transaction Monitoring, making him a seasoned leader in the Indian banking sector.
He holds a graduate degree in Chemistry and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). A strong advocate of continuous learning, Prasad has participated in numerous training and leadership development initiatives. He has completed the Leadership Development Program at SBIL Kolkata and the Aarohan 2023 FSIB Program, conducted by the Financial Services Institutions Bureau.
His appointment is expected to further strengthen Union Bank of India’s strategic and operational capabilities as the bank continues its focus on growth, digital transformation, and improved customer service.
