Badrinath Yatra Breaks Records: 14.53 Lakh Devotees So Far
Hemkund Sahib Doors to Close Tomorrow After 2.71 Lakh Pilgrims Visit This Year

Badrinath Dham is witnessing record-breaking numbers during the Chardham Yatra 2025. As of Wednesday, 14,53,827 devotees have visited Lord Badrivishal, surpassing last year’s total of 14,35,341. With the doors of the Dham closing on November 25, one and a half months remain for more devotees to visit.
The surge in pilgrims is credited to the efficient travel management by the Dhami government. Special teams, JCBs, SDRF personnel, and bonfires have been deployed across the travel routes to ensure smooth and safe movement, even amid challenging weather conditions. On Wednesday alone, 5,042 pilgrims visited Badrinath.
Meanwhile, Hemkund Sahib, situated at 15,230 feet, will close for winter on October 10. This year, 2,71,367 devotees have visited, exceeding last year’s 1,83,722, despite the difficult terrain.
Chardham Yatra 2025 Closing Dates:
- Gangotri: 22 October
- Yamunotri: 23 October
- Kedarnath: 23 October
- Badrinath: 25 November
Thanks to robust planning and facilities, devotees continue to undertake the pilgrimage with peace of mind, setting new records across Uttarakhand’s holy shrines.
