Bank of Baroda Inaugurates New Regional Office in Madurai
New office to boost administrative efficiency, deepen rural outreach and support economic growth across South India

Bank of Baroda (BoB), one of India’s leading public sector banks, has inaugurated its new Regional Office premises in Madurai, marking a significant step towards strengthening its footprint across the southern states and enhancing administrative efficiency.
The new Regional Office was inaugurated by Dr. Debadatta Chand, Managing Director & CEO, Bank of Baroda, in the presence of Mr. T.N. Suresh, General Manager & Zonal Head, Chennai Zone; Mr. T.M.L. Balaji, General Manager, Mid Corporate, South Cluster; and other senior officials of the Bank, including Mr. Jaikishan M, Regional Head, Madurai Region.
The inauguration aligns with Bank of Baroda’s broader strategy of expanding its physical infrastructure alongside digital initiatives, aimed at improving operational efficiency and delivering seamless banking services to customers.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Debadatta Chand said that the new Regional Office reflects the Bank’s commitment to strengthening regional operations and delivering a future-ready banking experience. He emphasised that Bank of Baroda continues to focus on bringing world-class banking services closer to customers, empowering local communities, and supporting economic growth across South India.

Bank of Baroda currently serves customers in the Madurai Region through a network of 56 branches, of which nearly 63 per cent are located in rural and semi-urban areas, underscoring the Bank’s strong focus on financial inclusion.
With the inauguration of the new Regional Office, Bank of Baroda has reiterated its commitment to fostering regional prosperity, enhancing financial inclusion, and driving sustainable growth across the southern states, thereby contributing to the nation’s overall economic development.
