BCCL CMD, CISF Officials Hold High-Level Security Review Meeting at Koyla Bhawan

Discussions were held on adopting concrete and coordinated measures to curb illegal coal mining and theft

In a significant step towards strengthening security and operational coordination, a high-level meeting was held between Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) Chairman and Managing Director Manoj Kumar Agarwal and senior officials of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Koyla Bhawan headquarters.

The meeting was attended by Prabodh Chandra, Inspector General, CISF, and J.K. Tiwari, Deputy Inspector General, along with other senior officials from both organizations.

During the discussions, key security challenges across various BCCL operational areas were reviewed in detail, with particular focus on enhancing the role of CISF in light of recent developments. Emphasis was laid on conducting regular flag marches in all BCCL areas to strengthen the overall law and order situation and create a secure environment.

A major outcome of the meeting was the agreement to deploy CISF Quick Response Teams (QRTs) alongside Regional General Managers during mine inspections. This move is expected to ensure swift and effective response to any emergency situations at mining sites.

The meeting also deliberated on the need for comprehensive strengthening and overhauling of CIW and CISF systems to further bolster the security framework. Discussions were held on adopting concrete and coordinated measures to curb illegal coal mining and theft, including improving the process of FIR registration and enforcement mechanisms.

Additionally, both sides stressed the importance of building confidence among BCCL employees by enhancing workplace safety and ensuring a secure and positive operational environment.

Assuring full support, CISF officials reiterated their commitment to providing vigilant, proactive, and dedicated security services to meet BCCL’s evolving needs.

The meeting concluded on a positive and cooperative note, reaffirming the commitment of both BCCL and CISF to deepen coordination, strengthen security arrangements, and enhance organizational effectiveness.
