CMD BCCL Inspects AMP Colliery in Barora Area; Emphasises Safety, Quality and Sustainable Mining

The CMD also interacted with Project Affected Families, listening to their concerns and suggestions

Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), Mr. Manoj Kumar Agrawal, today carried out an inspection of the Amalgamated Muraidih–Phularitand Colliery (AMP Colliery) under the Barora Area to review mining operations and assess on-ground progress.

During the visit, the CMD was accompanied by Mr. K. K. Singh, General Manager (Barora Area), Mr. Tribhuvan Chauhan, Project Officer (AMP Colliery), along with senior officers and staff from headquarters and regional offices.

Mr. Agrawal undertook a detailed field inspection of the mine and reviewed various operational aspects, including the progress of mining activities and the overall operational system. He instructed the regional management to accord top priority to safety, quality and transparency in all colliery operations. Emphasising the need for maintaining coal quality and achieving production targets, he also underlined the importance of preserving environmental balance during mining activities.

The CMD also interacted with Project Affected Families (PAPs), listening to their concerns and suggestions. He directed the regional management to ensure that all statutory and legal entitlements are provided to PAPs so that they can directly benefit from ongoing development initiatives. He further stressed continuous improvement in community development, environmental protection and worker welfare.

Commending the efforts of various departments at the mine, Mr. Agrawal encouraged officers and employees to continue working with team spirit and dedication. He reaffirmed BCCL’s commitment to promoting the ethos of “safe, clean and sustainable mining” across all its operational areas.
