BCCL CMD Manoj Kumar Agrawal Inspects Sendra-Banjhora-Nichitpur Colliery in Sijua Area
CMD directed the Area General Manager to ensure that 100% registration of all contract workers is completed through respective contractors

Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), Manoj Kumar Agrawal, inspected the Sendra-Banjhora-Nichitpur Colliery in the Sijua Area today. During the visit, he emphasized the importance of strengthening safe mining practices and ensuring strict compliance with operational standards across all levels.
Mr. Agrawal interacted with contract workers and urged them to adhere strictly to safety protocols, remain vigilant during all mining operations, and prioritize personal and collective safety.
He also highlighted the need for all contract workers to register under the “Corporate Salary Package” scheme, which provides essential security and insurance benefits in case of emergencies. The CMD directed the Area General Manager to ensure that 100% registration of all contract workers is completed through respective contractors, with regular verification and reporting of compliance status.

Emphasizing the role of discipline, awareness, and teamwork, Mr. Agrawal remarked that “Safety is not only an individual responsibility but also a collective one.” He motivated employees by stating that adopting safe and sustainable mining practices is the key to long-term growth and productivity.
The CMD was accompanied by Director (Human Resources) Murali Krishna Ramaiah, the General Manager of Sijua Area, other senior officials, and representatives from contracting agencies. The team reviewed ongoing mining activities, inspected safety infrastructure, and evaluated implementation of safety measures at the site.
BCCL continues to give top priority to safety, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy, and alert working environment for every employee and worker.
