CMD BCCL conducts surprise inspection of Chanch-Victoria Area, stresses discipline and operational efficiency
Agarwal visited key operational units including the washery, weighbridge and quarry operations

The Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), Manoj Kumar Agarwal, carried out a surprise inspection of the Chanch-Victoria (CV) Area on Sunday, reinforcing the company’s strong focus on organisational discipline, professional accountability and operational excellence.
The CMD reached the area office at the start of the first morning shift and conducted a live review of attendance and operational procedures. During the visit, he examined the attendance register and instructed S.B. Kumar, General Manager (CV Area), to initiate necessary action against employees found absent from duty.
As part of the inspection, Agarwal visited key operational units including the washery, weighbridge and quarry operations. He reviewed attendance systems at each location to ensure strict compliance with workforce discipline and monitoring mechanisms.

At the Dahibari Washery, the CMD undertook a detailed assessment of feed and yield performance. He emphasised the importance of maintaining feed levels in line with the plant’s 4,400 tonnes-per-day capacity and achieving design-specified yield targets to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
Highlighting expectations from officers and employees, Agarwal stressed punctual attendance, dedication to work and strict adherence to safety protocols. He noted that a systematic work culture, transparency, coordination and accountability are essential for achieving production and offtake targets.
Encouraging the workforce, he called upon teams to deliver improved results through positive energy and collaborative efforts.
The surprise inspection reflects proactive leadership oversight and underscores BCCL’s commitment to prioritising discipline, safety and efficiency across all operational areas.
