Retirement Felicitation Ceremony Organised at BCCL Headquarters

A total of 10 personnel were felicitated and congratulated on their superannuation during the programme

A retirement felicitation ceremony was organised at Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) headquarters, Coal Bhawan, where retiring personnel were honoured with respect and appreciation for their dedicated service to the company.

A total of 10 personnel — including four officers retiring from various areas and headquarters, along with six employees retiring from the headquarters — were felicitated and congratulated on their superannuation during the programme.

The ceremony, held in the conference room at Coal Bhawan, was presided over by CMD BCCL, Manoj Kumar Agarwal. Among those present on the occasion were Director (Human Resources) Murali Krishna Ramaiah, Director (Technical–Operations) Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Technical–Project & Planning) Niladri Roy, Director (Finance) Rajesh Kumar, General Manager (Administration) Arpan Ghosh, Head of Department (Officer Establishment) Shobha J. Kujur, and Head of Department (Employee Establishment) Madhusmita Lakra.

Representatives of labour organisations, CMOAI members, General Managers, Heads of Departments, officers, staff, and family members of the retiring personnel were also present in large numbers.

The programme commenced with the reading of citations highlighting the contributions of the retiring employees. They were subsequently honoured with ceremonial robes, coconuts, mementos, certificates of appreciation, and gifts as a mark of gratitude for their services.

In his presidential address, CMD Manoj Kumar Agarwal described retirement as a meaningful culmination of a career marked by dedication, discipline, and valuable contribution. He emphasised that this phase offers opportunities for introspection, personal growth, and continued social contribution. He advised retirees to remain active, take care of their health, and continue sharing their experience for the benefit of society and the organisation.

It is noteworthy that a total of 154 personnel — including four officers and 150 employees — retired from various departments and regions of BCCL during February. The ceremony at Coal Bhawan honoured all four retiring officers along with six headquarters employees, while separate felicitation programmes were organised across different regions for other retiring employees.

The retiring officers honoured on the occasion were Anand Kumar Dubey, General Manager (Excavation); Bani Kumar Parui, General Manager (Finance & Accounts); R.B. Roy, General Manager (Mining); and Naresh Roy, Deputy Manager (Survey).

The programme was conducted and the vote of thanks was delivered by Manager (Human Resources/Public Relations) Pranav Ojha.
