BCCL Conducts Three-Day MSME Training Programme
The programme was conducted under the Marathon Training and Capacity Building initiative of Coal India Limited

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), through its Human Resource Development (HRD) Department at Kalyan Bhawan, successfully organized a three-day training programme on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from January 6 to January 8, 2026. The programme was conducted under the Marathon Training and Capacity Building initiative of Coal India Limited (CIL).
The training programme witnessed the participation of 41 officers and employees from various regions and departments of BCCL, aiming to enhance understanding of the MSME ecosystem and strengthen organizational capacity in MSME-related functions.
On the final day of the programme, Mr. Suman Kumar, General Manager (Civil), Civil Engineering Department, Headquarters, conducted an in-depth session focusing on the structural, managerial, and developmental dimensions of the MSME sector. He shared updated insights on improving industrial processes, efficient resource management, and promoting sustainable development practices.
The inaugural session on January 6 was led by Shri Anand Kumar, General Manager (Materials Management), Headquarters, who highlighted the strategic role of MSMEs in India’s industrial landscape, their linkage with large PSUs, and their contribution to organizational and economic development.
On January 7, the second day of the programme, Shri Abhishek Jha, Manager (Mining), CMC Department, Headquarters, addressed participants on technological upgradation, innovation, and contemporary challenges faced by MSMEs, with a focus on adapting to evolving industrial requirements.
Throughout the three-day programme, participants were exposed to key management, operational, and developmental issues related to the MSME sector. The training aimed to foster an entrepreneurial mindset among officers and employees and enhance their efficiency in handling MSME-related responsibilities.
At the conclusion of the programme, certificates were awarded to all participants, who were encouraged to apply the learnings effectively in their respective work areas.
Mr. Sumit Kumar, Senior Manager (Mining), HRD, along with other officers and employees of the HRD department, played a significant role in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
