Big Ticket Investment In Data Centres By Hiranandani Group Driving Uttar Pradesh To $1 Trillion Economy!
The Data Centre to provide direct and indirect employment to more than 2000 persons
Very recently, the IT hub of Greater Noida was abuzz with action when the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath inaugurated Yotta Data Centre Park of the Hiranandani Group. Vivek Avasthi, Editor-in-Chief of www.indianpsu.com caught up with Mr. Sunil Gupta, Co-founder & CEO, Yotta Infrastructure to know about the further expansion plans of the group in cherishing and contributing towards dream of Uttar Pradesh chief Minister to make the state a $1 Trillion Economy. www.indianpsu.com – What is the ticket size of the investments by Yotta Data Centre Park, Greater Noida by Hiranandani Group?

The first of 6 data center buildings in the Greater Noida data center park, Yotta D1, has been set up with an investment of around Rs. 1,500 crores and has been built and made operational in a record time of 20 months. We plan to construct 6 such data center buildings at a CAPEX investment of Rs. 9000 crores over the next 5 to 7 years. Once fully operational, Yotta D1 and each of the other data center buildings will see an additional investment of Rs. 5,000 crores in IT equipment, taking the total investment in the Data Centre Park to Rs. 39,000 crores.
www.indianpsu.com – How much of direct and indirect employment would Yotta Data Centre Park, Greater Noida generate?
Sunil Gupta, Co-founder & CEO, Yotta Infrastructure : The Yotta Data Centre Park at Greater Noida will generate significant employment opportunities across the region. The data center facility will generate a pool of skilled and unskilled jobs across various functions of the data center’s operations, management and aintenance, and unskilled jobs as we expand the campus with the construction of more data center buildings. Once the data center park is fully operational, we will have more than 200 employees working at the facility. The temporary or contractual workers that will contribute to the data center park development will be more than 2000.
www.indianpsu.com – What does the MoU of the group with Uttar Pradesh Government entail and its highlights?
Sunil Gupta, Co-founder & CEO, Yotta Infrastructure : At the most awaited launch of Yotta D1 in Noida in October, Yotta signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to invest Rs 39,000 crore. The investment will be used to construct a data centre campus in Greater Noida and procure IT equipment and other hardware in phases over 5-7 years. The MoU was signed by Shri Arvind Kumar, IAS, IIDC and ACS, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Ritu Maheshwari, IAS, CEO, Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority and Shri Akshay Tripathi, IAS, MD – UP Electronics Corporation Limited (UPLC). Our first data center went live in a record time of 20 months, thanks to the support of the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority. Along the same lines, the Government of Uttar Pradesh will support and fastrack the necessary permissions and approvals and would also help to avail applicable incentives under various schemes announced by State/Central Government.
