In a major push toward comprehensive development, the Bihar Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, approved 34 significant proposals in a high-level meeting held on Friday. These decisions span crucial sectors such as education, health, infrastructure, tourism, power, urban development, and rural connectivity—aimed at propelling Bihar’s growth trajectory.

Major Highlights from the Cabinet Meeting:

🔹 Massive Relief for Electricity Consumers
Under the Mukhyamantri Vidyut Upbhokta Sahayata Yojana, ₹15,995 crore has been approved to ensure affordable and uninterrupted power supply to millions across the state.

🔹 Air Connectivity Boost
A study for the development of proposed airports in Madhubani, Virpur, Munger, Balmiki Nagar, Bhagalpur, and Saharsa has received administrative approval with an allocation of ₹2.47 crore.

🔹 Khelo India Youth Games 2025 to be Hosted in Bihar
To encourage sports among the youth, ₹119.04 crore has been sanctioned for organizing the Khelo India Youth Games 2025 in Bihar.

🔹 Expansion of Higher Education
Approval has been granted for the creation of 526 posts—including 422 teaching and 104 non-teaching posts—for the establishment of eight new degree colleges in rural areas.

🔹 Religious Tourism Development
The construction of a grand temple at Maa Sita’s birthplace Munaura Dham in Sitamarhi will proceed with Research Design Associates, Noida, appointed as consultants.

🔹 Urban Development Reinforcement
663 non-technical posts have been sanctioned in the Urban Development Department to enhance planning and execution of urban initiatives.

🔹 Veterinary Services Reorganized
2159 posts have been reorganized to strengthen the veterinary healthcare system across Bihar.

🔹 Tourism Promotion Through New Policy
The Bihar Tourism Bonding and Marketing Policy 2025 has been approved to promote tourism and attract private investments.

🔹 Healthcare Reforms at IGIMS
Amendments in service rules at Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences aim to enhance efficiency in cardiac healthcare services.

🔹 Traditional Fairs Recognized
Baba Ganinatha Palvaiya Dham Mela of Vaishali has been officially included under the Mela Authority for better management and promotion.

🔹 Land Survey Reforms
The Bihar Special Survey and Settlement Rules 2025 have been passed to ensure transparency and efficiency in land records.

🔹 Legal Infrastructure Strengthened
46 new posts have been created in the Advocate General’s office for improved handling of legal affairs.

🔹 Relief to Dentists
Dentists across the state will benefit from Dynamic ACP, with retrospective benefits from 2014 (conceptual) and 2017 (financial).

🔹 Upgrades to CM Gramin Setu Yojana
Revisions to the rural bridge scheme will improve last-mile connectivity and boost rural infrastructure.
