Bipartite Safety Review Meeting Conducted At Visakhapatnam Steel Plant
Director of Mines Safety lauds RINL management for its concern towards environment and safety both at plant and mines
A bipartite safety review meeting was held at the Nagarjuna Hall of Management Development Centre of visakhapatnam steel plant, today.
The main focus of the meeting is to review the Safety & Health of the employees including Contractual Workmen at Mines and to create a better Safe & Healthy Work environment at all the Mines.
In his opening address, Shri AK Saxena, Director (Operations ) & and Nominated owner of RINL Mines has said that RINL has achieved best production since inception during 2021-22 inspite of facing several challenges like Covid and coal crisis and said that RINL is the 1st steel plant to use Iron ore slime in place of Iron ore fines in the sinter making process. He said that the production in the RINL Jaggayapeta lime stone mines & Garbham managanese mines are maintained as per the requirement of the plant and also informed that RINL is in the process of stabilization and ramping up production from Madharam dolomite mines of RINL. Utmoset priority is given to safety both at plant and mines, Sri Saxena added. Amidst thunderous applause, Shri Saxena said that all the above RINL mines have won prestigious awards on various fronts.
Shri Saxena profusely thanked Shri Shyam Mishra, Director of Mines safety, Hyderabad Region-1. for his significant suggestions and suggestions which will enable RINL to improve the functioning of RINL mines.
Addressing the RINL collective, Shri Shyam Mishra, Director of Mines safety, Hyderabad Region-1auded RINL for its significant performance in the last financial year and said that RINL’s adherence to strict safety practices and commitment of its employees helped in achieving such a significant performance. He appreciated RINL management for its concern towards environment and safety both at plant and mines.
A presentation was made about captive mines of RINL, Safety & Training in RINL Mines, welfare facilities and activities, CSR initiatives and RINL’s initiatives to help the people below the poverty line in the peripheral villages of RINL mines.
The programme was attended by Sri B. Venkanna, Deputy Director of Mines Safety, Hyderabad, Sri BK Mohanty, CGM (Maintenance & Iron) Incharge, Sri YK Garg (GM)-Mines-Incharge, Officials from Mines, Works, HR, MM, Medical & Finance Depts.
