Britannia Reports 23% Rise in Q2 Net Profit; Consolidated Sales Up 4% YoY
Britannia aims to sustain its market leadership through volume-led growth, regional and consumer-centric strategies, price competitiveness, and enhanced distribution

Britannia Industries Limited, one of India’s leading food companies, announced its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, reporting a steady growth in revenue and a strong increase in profitability.
For the quarter, Britannia’s consolidated sales stood at ₹4,752 crore, registering a year-on-year growth of 4.1%, while net profit surged 23% to ₹655 crore, reflecting continued efficiency in cost management and stable commodity prices.
Commenting on the company’s performance, Mr. Varun Berry, Executive Vice-Chairman, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, said: “Our revenue during the quarter registered a reasonable growth of 4.1% with profits growing by 23.2%, driven by relatively stable commodity prices and sustained efforts to optimise costs across the value chain. The recent GST rate rationalization announced by the Government is a welcome step towards stimulating consumer demand and uplifting the overall economic sentiment in the country. However, transitional challenges arising from the GST-related changes in supply chain, trade and channels had a short-term impact on business during the latter part of the quarter, which is expected to normalize progressively in the coming quarter.”
Mr. Berry further highlighted the continued strong performance of Britannia’s adjacent bakery categories, including Rusk, Wafers, and Croissants, which have maintained double-digit growth for consecutive quarters. The company also witnessed robust momentum in its e-commerce segment, aiding in-home consumption of indulgent and impulse product lines such as Fudge It Cakes, Pure Magic Stars and Tarts, Jim Jam, and Little Hearts.
Looking ahead, Britannia aims to sustain its market leadership through volume-led growth, regional and consumer-centric strategies, price competitiveness, and enhanced distribution. “We will continue to strengthen our presence across geographies while leveraging our brand strength amidst the proliferation of multiple local players in different states and regions,” Berry added.
