BSNL Extends Freedom Plan by 15 Days Following Strong Customer Response
Offer now valid till September 15; plan gives new users unlimited calls, 2GB daily data, 100 SMS per day and free SIM at just ₹1
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced the extension of its popular “Freedom Plan” by 15 days, following overwhelming customer response. Initially launched on August 1 for a token activation charge of ₹1, the plan offered complimentary 4G mobile services for 30 days to new users and was set to close on August 31. It will now remain available until September 15, 2025.
Under the Freedom Plan, customers receive:
- Unlimited voice calls (as per plan terms and conditions)
- 2 GB/day of high-speed data
- 100 SMS per day
- Free SIM card (with mandatory KYC as per DoT guidelines)
Highlighting the initiative, BSNL Chairman and Managing Director A. Robert J. Ravi said: “BSNL has recently deployed a Make-in-India, state-of-the-art 4G mobile network across the country, advancing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. The Freedom Plan—absolutely free of service charges for the first 30 days—gives customers a proud opportunity to experience our indigenously developed 4G network. We’re confident that the service quality, coverage, and the trust associated with the BSNL brand will encourage customers to stay with us well beyond the introductory period.”
To avail the plan, customers must visit the nearest BSNL Customer Service Centre (CSC) with valid KYC documents, request the Freedom Plan at ₹1, and collect their free SIM. The 30-day benefits commence from the date of activation.
