CCL Organizes Panel Discussion on AI and Emerging Technologies in Coal Mining Operations

The panel discussion witnessed active participation from around 45 officials

Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) organized a panel discussion on “AI and Emerging Technologies and its Role in Coal Mining Operations” at Prakash Hall, HRD Department, CCL Headquarters on Monday.

The session commenced with a welcome address by M.F. Haque, General Manager (HRD), who emphasized the growing significance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as an indispensable tool in both professional and personal spheres.

Delivering the keynote address, V.K. Shukla, General Manager (Mining/IED), underlined that AI has become an integral part of modern life and stressed the need for its careful and effective implementation in mining operations. Senior officials, including the General Manager (ERP) and General Manager (Systems), were also present during the event.

A detailed presentation was delivered by Alok Ranjan, Manager (Systems), who elaborated on the latest advancements in AI, its diverse applications across industries, and its future potential, particularly in the mining sector.
