CCL Bids Emotional Farewell To Retiring Employees At “Samman Samaroh”

Seven employees from the headquarters were given a grand and emotional send-off in recognition of their dedicated service

Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) organized a heartfelt farewell ceremony titled “Samman Samaroh” at its Ranchi Headquarters today to honor 85 employees retiring in May 2025. Among them, seven employees from the headquarters were given a grand and emotional send-off in recognition of their dedicated service.

Prominent retirees felicitated during the event included:

  • Alok Chandra Maharana, General Manager (Civil), Civil Department
  • Suresh Behera, General Manager (Systems), Systems Department
  • Dr. Kumar Ajay Singh, Chief Medical Officer, Gandhinagar Hospital
  • Satyendra Kumar Singh, Chief Manager (Personnel), Vigilance Department
  • Dr. Sunita Suman, Deputy CMO, Gandhinagar Hospital
  • Rekha Khalkho, Matron, Gandhinagar Hospital
  • Jayamala Devi, Senior Clerk, Medical Department

The ceremony was graced by CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh, Director (Technical/Operations) Chandra Shekhar Tiwari, and Director (Technical/Planning & Projects) Shankar Nagachari, along with General Managers from various departments, officers, employees, and the family members of the retirees.

A special short film was screened during the event, showcasing the professional journeys, experiences, and heartfelt messages from the retiring employees. The film captured their deep sense of gratitude and commitment to the growth of the company.

In his address, CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh praised the invaluable contributions of the retiring employees, stating, “All of you have taken the company to new heights with your hard work and dedication. Retirement marks a new beginning—spend this time with your families, take care of your health, and continue to play a positive role in society. You are all brand ambassadors of CCL.”

Echoing similar sentiments, Directors Chandra Shekhar Tiwari and Shankar Nagachari lauded the achievements of the retiring personnel and extended their best wishes for the next phase of their lives.

The event was smoothly conducted under the stewardship of Rekha Pandey, General Manager (Welfare), who also delivered the vote of thanks. The Welfare Department, along with support from other departments, played a significant role in making the event a resounding success.
