Officers and employees observed a two-minute silence and prayed for the peace of the departed soul

In a moment of profound grief for the state of Jharkhand and the entire nation, the Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) family deeply mourns the demise of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren Ji—a revered leader of tribal society, former Union Coal Minister, three-time Chief Minister of Jharkhand, and sitting Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament. His passing marks an irreparable loss to the social, political, and cultural landscape of the country.
To honor his memory, the officers and employees of CCL Headquarters at Darbhanga House, Ranchi, observed a two-minute silence and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.
Present at the solemn occasion were Pawan Kumar Mishra, Director (Finance); Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (Personnel); Chandrashekhar Tiwari, Director (Technical/Operations); along with regional General Managers, department heads, and employees from various wings of the organization.
Shibu Soren’s life was a saga of struggle, resilience, and unwavering commitment to public welfare. As the founding leader of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and a fearless advocate for tribal rights, he championed the cause of identity, dignity, and justice for the indigenous people of India. His tireless efforts were instrumental in the creation of the state of Jharkhand and in uplifting marginalized communities.
As Union Coal Minister, his policy initiatives prioritized worker welfare, catalyzed regional development, and significantly improved working conditions in the coal sector. His legacy is etched into the very foundation of Jharkhand’s progress and the coal industry’s evolution.
The CCL family stands united in grief and remembrance, drawing inspiration from Guruji’s life and ideals. His contributions will forever be a guiding force in CCL’s journey toward inclusive development and nation building
