CCL Holds Quarterly Official Language Implementation Committee Meeting
Awards were presented to departments and units for exemplary performance in official language implementation during the last quarter
The quarterly review meeting of the Official Language Implementation Committee of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) was held yesterday at Darbhanga House, CCL Headquarters, Ranchi, under the chairmanship of Director (Human Resources) Harsh Nath Mishra.
The meeting was attended by General Manager (Official Language) Sanjay Kumar Thakur, heads of various departments, General Managers, Official Language Nodal Officers, and representatives from CCL’s regional offices.
Opening the proceedings, Sanjay Kumar Thakur welcomed the members and presented details of the activities undertaken by the Official Language Department, along with a comprehensive review of various programmes and progress made in implementing Hindi as the official language.
In his presidential address, Harsh Nath Mishra emphasized that the official language is an integral part of CCL’s work culture and that its effective implementation benefits not only the organization but also its stakeholders. He urged all department heads to strictly adhere to the official language policy and ensure the mandatory use of Hindi in correspondence, notes, and other official communications. He also highlighted the availability of technical tools such as the translation facility in the e-office system to facilitate greater use of Hindi.
During the meeting, awards were presented to departments and units for exemplary performance in official language implementation during the last quarter. The Municipal Administration Department received the Moving Shield in the technical category, the Welfare Department in the non-technical category, and the General Administration Department jointly. In the category of regional and centralized units, Gandhi Nagar Hospital was recognized.
The meeting concluded with appreciation for the coordinated efforts of the Official Language Department and supporting departments in ensuring its successful organization.
