Quarterly Official Language Implementation Committee Meeting Held at CCL
Several departments, units, and offices were honoured for their exemplary performance, innovation, and effective implementation of the official language

The quarterly review meeting of the Official Language Implementation Committee was held today at the headquarters of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) in Ranchi. The meeting was chaired by Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (Human Resources).
The meeting was attended by Sanjay Kumar Thakur, General Manager (Official Language), along with Heads of Departments, General Managers, the Official Language Nodal Officer, and representatives from various regional offices of CCL.
At the outset, GM (Official Language) Sanjay Kumar Thakur welcomed the participants and presented a detailed overview of the plans, programmes, and achievements of the Official Language Department. The progress in the use and promotion of Hindi was reviewed through quarterly reports submitted by departments and units.

Addressing the gathering, Director (HR) Harsh Nath Mishra emphasized the importance of Hindi in organisational functioning. “The official language, Hindi, is an integral part of our work culture. Its effective and consistent implementation not only enhances organisational efficiency but also strengthens communication with stakeholders,” he said.
He urged all department heads to strictly comply with the Official Language Policy and ensure maximum use of Hindi in official correspondence, note sheets, and e-Office work. He also highlighted that notes can be easily prepared in Hindi by effectively utilising the translation facility available in the e-Office system.
During the meeting, several departments, units, and offices were honoured for their exemplary performance, innovation, and effective implementation of the official language during the last quarter.
Under the Rajbhasha Innovation Gaurav Award –
- First Prize was awarded to Bhugarbh
- Second Prize to Pranali
- Third Prize to Bokaro and Kargali
Additionally, the Washery Department, Employee Establishment Department, and Magadha–Sanghamitra Area were honoured with the Official Language Pioneer Award.
In the category of Best Implementing Offices for the Quarter –
- Gandhinagar Hospital was awarded in the Area/Central Office category
- Systems Department in the Technical Department category
- Welfare and General Administration Department in the Non-Technical Department category
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to further strengthen the effective implementation and wider usage of Hindi across CCL.
