CCL Organizes Creative Competitions On World Environment Day 2025

Students Display Remarkable Creativity and Environmental Awareness on the Theme “End Plastic Pollution”

On the occasion of World Environment Day 2025, the Environment and Forest Department of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) organized a one-day creative competition on June 2, 2025. Nearly 200 students from Nursery to Class 12 participated and showcased their art, ideas, and awareness with great enthusiasm on the theme “End Plastic Pollution.”

The competitions featured various creative categories including painting, quiz, slogan writing, and poetry writing. Centered around this year’s World Environment Day theme – “End Plastic Pollution” – the event aimed to instill environmental awareness among school students and encourage them to adopt a sustainable lifestyle.

Through their paintings, posters, and creative expressions, students sent out powerful messages against plastic pollution, clearly reflecting their sensitivity and concern for the environment.

Speaking on the occasion, CCL’s General Manager (Environment), Sangeeta, said, “Involving children in environmental activities nurtures a sense of responsibility in them. The passion and dedication shown by today’s participants clearly indicate that our younger generation is well aware and committed to a clean and green Earth.”

Winners of the competitions will be felicitated with certificates and prizes on June 4, 2025.

This initiative highlights CCL’s strong commitment to environmental sustainability and marks a significant step toward uniting the future generation globally in the fight against plastic pollution.
