Tribute from CCL Family on the 150th Birth Anniversary of Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa

On the occasion of Tribal Pride Year 2025, the Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) family paid a heartfelt tribute to Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda on his 150th birth anniversary.

The commemorative programme was held at the CCL Headquarters, where CCL officers, employees, trade union members, and social representatives participated in large numbers.

The event began with wreath-laying and floral homage at the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. Present on the occasion were Nilendu Kumar Singh, CMD, CCL, Pankaj Kumar, CVO, other senior officials, Brijkishore Ram, President of the SC/ST Council, Heads of Departments (HODs), General Managers (GMs), and members of various trade unions.

Participants fondly remembered Dharti Aba Birsa Munda — Jharkhand’s identity, a symbol of tribal pride, a revered freedom fighter, and the torchbearer of the historic Ulgulan movement. His extraordinary struggle, visionary leadership, and unwavering resolve to protect jal, jungle, zameen (water, forest, and land) continue to inspire generations across India.

Those present raised slogans of “Long live Lord Birsa Munda” and reaffirmed their commitment to uphold and embody his timeless values.

The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, guests, and participants for their active involvement.
