Chairman Coal India Limited Confident Of Meeting Coal Production Target Of 838 MT

PM Prasad said that Coal India achieved an 10% growth in rake loading on y-o-y basis

Speaking at the CLI 2024 in Kolkata, Coal India Limited Chairman, P.M. Prasad, stated that Coal India is confident of meeting the coal production target of 838 MT set for the current fiscal and meeting the growing energy demands of the Nation.

He spoke on the modernization of the coal supply chain and said that Coal India is in the process of transitioning from road transportation to a more efficient mix of rail, RSR (Rail-Sea-Rail) and inland waterways.

He further said that Coal India achieved an 10% growth in rake loading on y-o-y basis and aims to achieve a silo loading capacity of 1 billion tonnes by the fiscal year 2029-30.
