Chaudhari Shivraj Singh Assumes Charge as CMD, CMPDIL
Till now, CMD Eastern Coalfields Limited, Satish Jha was holding the additional charge of CMPDIL
Chaudhari Shivraj Singh has assumed charge as Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Coal India Limited’s subsidiary, Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL), at its headquarters in Ranchi.
Prior to this appointment, Singh served in key positions at Coal India Limited’s Corporate Headquarters as well as at Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), gaining wide exposure across strategic and operational domains of the coal sector.
An accomplished mining professional, Singh holds a B.Tech in Mining Engineering from IIT (BHU), Varanasi, and an Executive Diploma in Project Management from the School of Business, George Washington University, USA.
With over 35 years of distinguished experience in the coal industry, he brings deep expertise in project management, opencast mine planning and operations, organisational business planning, and enterprise risk management.
His appointment is expected to further strengthen CMPDIL’s role in mine planning, design, and technological support for Coal India and its subsidiaries.
