CIL Chairman Reviews Kenduadih Gas Emission Situation
Issues Key Directives for Strengthened Coordination and Safety

Coal India Limited (CIL) Chairman, Sanoj Kumar Jha, chaired a high-level review meeting at Koyla Bhawan today to assess the gas emission incident reported in the Kenduadih region of the PB Area.
The meeting saw the participation of BCCL CMD Manoj Kumar Agarwal, DT (CIL) Achyut Ghatak, Dhanbad Deputy Commissioner Aditya Ranjan, Prabhat Kumar, ED (Coordination) Alok Lalit Kumar, BCCL Directors, Headquarters GMs, Area GMs and several senior officials.

During the review, the Chairman took a comprehensive account of the current ground situation, held technical discussions with scientific experts, and examined the status of ongoing control, containment and mitigation efforts.
CMD Coal India Limited instructed the concerned teams to ensure:
- Strengthened inter-agency coordination
- Heightened safety arrangements for workers and nearby residents
- Effective, continuous monitoring and management of the affected zone
He emphasised the need for scientific precision, timely communication, and proactive action to ensure complete safety and restoration of normalcy in the region.
