CIMECON 2026 Inaugurated at SECL, Bilaspur – National Coal India Medical Conference
Eminent medical experts from reputed hospitals and institutions across India also attended the conference

The Coal India Medical Conference – CIMECON 2026 was successfully inaugurated today under the gracious hosting of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), Bilaspur. The conference was formally inaugurated by Brijesh Kumar Tripathi, Chief Vigilance Officer, Coal India Limited, along with Harish Duhan, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, SECL.
Also present on the occasion were Biranchi Das, Director (Human Resources), D. Sunil Kumar, Director (Finance), Himanshu Jain, Chief Vigilance Officer, and Ramesh Chandra Mahapatra, Director (Technical – Planning & Projects), SECL. The conference souvenir was formally unveiled by the dignitaries.

Dr. Shrutidev Mishra, Chief Medical Services (CMS), SECL, and Dr. Arihant Jain, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Indira Vihar Hospital, along with a large number of senior doctors and officers, were also present.
CIMECON 2026 has drawn participation from over 250 doctors representing Coal India Limited and its subsidiary companies. Eminent medical experts from reputed hospitals and institutions across India also attended the conference.
The event featured detailed deliberations on occupational health of mining employees, early diagnosis of diseases, adoption of advanced medical technologies, emergency medical management, and digital health monitoring. Experts presented research papers highlighting innovative treatment methodologies and effective health management models.

Speakers emphasized the need for a robust, modern, and compassionate healthcare system to realize the vision of “Healthy Mines.” The conference has emerged as an effective platform for knowledge exchange, coordination, and innovation in mining healthcare.
