CM Dhami Inaugurated Uttarakhand State Guest House ‘Uttarakhand Niwas’ In New Delhi
New Uttarakhand Niwas incorporates the culture, folk art and architecture of the state
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday inaugurated the Uttarakhand State Guest House ‘Uttarakhand Niwas’ in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. This grand Uttarakhand Niwas has been constructed at a cost of about Rs. 120 crore 52 lakhs. On this occasion, first of all the Chief Minister prayed to God for the peace of the departed souls in the Marchula bus accident of Almora district and to provide patience to their families.
Chief Minister Dhami said that today we are all witnessing the historic moment of the inauguration of Uttarakhand Niwas. Uttarakhand Niwas incorporates the culture, folk art and architecture of the state. Uttarakhand Niwas preserves the imprint of the unique art of Uttarakhand. Its wall is traditionally built of beautiful stones of the hill style, which also serves to revive our cultural heritage. This building will give a new height to our rich cultural traditions as well as provide better facilities to the guests coming from Uttarakhand and the country and abroad.
The Chief Minister said that this Bhawan with comfortable accommodation and glimpse of Uttarakhand’s culture will become a symbol of our state’s dignity in the national capital. He said that our traditional cuisine should be arranged in Uttarakhand Niwas. A special counter should also be arranged here for the sale of Shri Anna products and organic products. There should also be a provision for the sale of Uttarakhand’s identity cap, pichora, shawl, jacket and famous products of the state. High quality products are being made by the women self-help groups of the state. This will be a special kind of experience for our visiting guests. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to all the colleagues who contributed in the construction of Uttarakhand Bhawan. He also appreciated the dedication of all the workers.
The Chief Minister said that on the coming 09th November, we are going to enter the silver jubilee year of Uttarakhand state. In such a situation, the inauguration of Uttarakhand Bhawan will strengthen our resolve to make Uttarakhand the best and will inspire all of us to take the state forward. He said that many important schemes and policies have been implemented in the last few years for the overall development of the state. This is the reason why Uttarakhand has got the first place in the country in the ranking of Sustainable Development Goals released this year by NITI Aayog. The state has received the category of Achievers in Ease of Doing Business and Leaders in Startup. There has been an increase of 33 percent in GSDP. Uttarakhand has also become a leading state in providing employment to the youth. The unemployment rate has been reduced by 4.4 percent in one year. Uttarakhand has also received the first prize in the country for being the most favorable state in the field of film production.
The Chief Minister said that the government has taken many decisions in the interest of the state. Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to take steps towards Uniform Civil Code. Work is being done towards implementing UCC in the state soon. The most effective anti-copying law of the country has been implemented in the state. Due to which new confidence has arisen among the youth of the state. Youths are being selected from every district. In the last three years, appointments have been given to 18500 government posts in the state. Strict law has been implemented to stop religious conversion in the state. Which will protect the sanctity and culture of Devbhoomi. More than 05 thousand government lands which were illegally occupied have been freed from encroachment. Strict action is being taken by taking a tough stand against the low mentality like love jihad and spit jihad in the state. The Chief Minister said that a strict land law will also be brought in the coming budget session. Which has been awaited for a long time. The state government is continuously working towards connecting the stream of development to the last person of Uttarakhand.
