DEPARTMENT OF MILITARY AFFAIRS,
Government of India, Ministry of Defence,
South Block, New Delhi – 110 011

{Kind Attn : CDS, Gen. Bipin Rawat, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, ADC.}

Sub : Extension of facilities of Covid-19 Vaccination and also treatment to Defence Civilians and their Family Members in hospitals of Army, Air Force & Navy.

Respected Sir,
With due regards, it is submitted that regular inputs are being received that in various units /establishments /installations where Civilians are deployed along with uniformed personnel there are discrimination as regards Covid-19 vaccination drive. Whereas the facility is being extended to family members of the uniformed personnel, the same is being denied to Civilians. This is resulting in mental trauma and resentment amongst the civilian employees.

In view of the above, we seek your kind personal intervention to resolve the issue so that the above discrimination ends at the earliest.

The issue of extension of facility of treatment in various hospitals of the Army, Navy and Air Force to the Defence Civilians and their family members, also needs your kind intervention.

We would request you to kindly consider the above issue and direct the authorities to admit and treat all Defence Civilian employees and their family members, for Covid-19 as well as Non Covid-19 related sickness, at least as a very special case, during the pandemic, by levying CGHS applicable rates.

We shall be highly obliged if any early decision on both the above aspects can be taken.

With regards,
Sincerely yours
(MUKESH SINGH)
Geneeral Secretary/BPMS &
Member, JCM-II Level Council (MOD)
