Delegation Led By Gautam Buddha Nagar M.P. Dr. Mahesh Sharma Meets Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw
Delegation thanks him for development Works and submits new proposals

Member of Parliament Dr. Mahesh Sharma on Tuesday, along with MLA of Dadri Assembly Tejpal Nagar, MLA of Khurja Assembly Meenakshi Singh, and a delegation of residents from the Gautam Buddha Nagar region, met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The delegation extended heartfelt gratitude for the various developmental initiatives undertaken in the region by the Ministry of Railways.
The delegation highlighted the significant step taken following their earlier representation dated March 24, 2025, wherein Dr. Mahesh Sharma and local residents had requested enhanced railway services. Taking swift action, the Railway Minister approved a stop for the Vande Bharat Express, running between Delhi and Ayodhya, at Khurja Station. This development has sparked enthusiasm and appreciation among the local population, further reinforcing their faith in the leadership and responsive governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Dr. Mahesh Sharma, expressing his gratitude, commended the government for executing the request within just two months—a testament to the Prime Minister’s vision of public-centric governance. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continue delivering timely development in public interest.
Key Suggestions Submitted to the Railway Minister
The delegation submitted detailed suggestions to further improve passenger amenities and railway infrastructure across several stations in the Gautam Buddha Nagar parliamentary constituency. The proposals are categorized assembly-wise:
Dadri Assembly Constituency
- Provision of paramilitary quota and stoppage of express trains at Dadri Station.
- Completion of stairs on both sides of the newly inaugurated Road Over Bridge (ROB).
- Pending construction of passenger waiting room to be expedited.
- Installation of small tin sheds at the western end (ROB side) for commuter protection.
- Establishment of a computerized ticket counter on the Greater Noida side.
Maripat and Bodaki Stations
- Construction of a foot over bridge for passenger convenience.
- Expansion of existing passenger tin sheds, which are currently insufficient.
Secunderabad Assembly Area
- Sangam Express to be given a halt at Gulavati Railway Station.
- Stoppage of local trains at Fatehpur Makarandpur Halt during peak hours.
- Permanent resolution of waterlogging issues at underpasses during monsoon.
- Construction of an over bridge at Gangraul Railway Station.
- Grant Junction status to Chola Railway Station to promote regional connectivity.
Khurja Assembly Constituency
- Renovation of Khurja City Railway Station.
- Halt for Anand Vihar–Lucknow Vande Bharat Express at Khurja Junction.
- Creation of a halt station near Dharpa Railway Gate (Gate No. 9).
- Two-minute stop for Delhi–Lucknow Shatabdi Express at Khurja Junction.
- Increase EMU coaches to 15 on trains running between Delhi, Aligarh, Hathras, and Tundla.
- Reschedule Train No. 64108 from 9:20 PM back to its original time of 8:00 PM.
- Halt for trains like Vaishali SF (12553), Prayagraj Express (12417), North East Express (12505), Unchahar Express (12217), and Kaifiyat Express (12225) at Khurja Junction.
- Initiate an Express train from Khurja to Haridwar.
- Run a local train from Delhi/New Delhi to Khurja at around 7:30 PM.
- Introduce a morning EMU from Khurja to Delhi between 6:30 AM and 8:30 AM.
- Increase the number of trains from Khurja Junction, as no new trains have been introduced since 1985.
- Extend EMU from Kanpur–Aligarh up to Ghaziabad.
- Restore train halts discontinued during COVID-19 at Khurja Junction.
Ashwini Vaishnaw, assured the delegation that sincere efforts would be made to act upon the submitted suggestions and that the government remains committed to inclusive development through strengthened infrastructure.
