Department of Posts Launches Special Cover Dedicated to Coal Warriors and Coal India’s Legacy

CCL National PR Conclave 2025 Concludes Successfully — Day 2 Marked by Dialogue and Innovation

The Department of Posts released a special cover (customized stamp) dedicated to Coal Warriors and the legacy of Coal India on the concluding day of the National PR Conclave 2025, organized by Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) at the Gangotri Convention Centre, CCL Headquarters, Ranchi.

The two-day event, themed “Redefining PR: From Information to Engagement in the Era of Digitalization,” served as a vibrant platform for dialogue, innovation, and collaboration among PR professionals, media experts, academicians, and students.

The second day began with a session on “Role of Radio: Information to Engagement, especially in Rural Areas.” Ms. Inu Majumdar, CEO of Radio Orange, Nagpur, emphasized radio’s enduring power as a bridge of emotions that connects rural India, stating that “the power of sound brings communication to life.”

Dr. Sameer Kapoor, Director, Ad Factors Delhi, followed with insights on “New Age of PR in the Changing Digital World,” highlighting that the modern era of PR 2.0 is defined by digital media, influencers, and content creators shaping corporate perception.

Alok Kumar Gupta, Head of Department, CC & PR, CCL, addressed the “Relevance of Customized Stamp for Coal Industry in the Golden Jubilee Year.”

On this occasion, CCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Nilendu Kumar Singh, Director (Finance) Pawan Kumar Mishra, Director (Human Resources) Harsh Nath Mishra, and Director, Postal Service (Jharkhand) R. V. Choudhary, jointly released the special stamp and souvenir “Navchetna.”

This commemorative stamp pays tribute to the Coal Warriors of Coal India and CCL, symbolizing their relentless dedication and contribution to ensuring the nation’s energy security.

CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh remarked, “A postage stamp is not just a piece of paper, but a carrier of emotions — it connects hearts and celebrates legacy.”

Director (HR) Harshnath Mishra emphasized that public relations is the “backbone of any organization,” serving as a bridge between the public and the institution, and highlighted CCL’s strong connect through its CSR and social initiatives.

Further sessions included “Career in PR & Communication: Challenges & Opportunities in the Era of Digitalization” by Dr. Vikas Pathe of IIM Ranchi, who encouraged continuous learning, and “Positive Media Mastery: Craft Your Brand Story” by Sanjeev Shekhar of Adani Power Limited, who noted, “What people say in your absence defines your true image.”

The final session, an interactive dialogue with ad guru Prahlad Kakkar, saw enthusiastic participation from students, with discussions on media creativity and brand communication.

In his closing remarks, Alok Kumar Gupta thanked all participants and said, “This Conclave has proven to be a confluence of ideas — a platform setting a new direction for the future of public relations.”

The National PR Conclave 2025 underscored that public relations today transcends information — it is a process of engagement, empathy, and sustained dialogue that strengthens trust between organizations and society.
