Department of Posts Suspends Booking of Mail to USA
Those who have already booked items that could not be dispatched will be eligible for a refund of postage charges

The Department of Posts has announced the suspension of all categories of mail services to the United States of America, including letters, documents, and gift items valued up to USD 100.
The move comes following the continued unavailability of carriers to transport U.S.-bound mail and the absence of a defined regulatory mechanism to facilitate dispatch.
Customers who have already booked items that could not be dispatched will be eligible for a refund of postage charges.
The Department stated that it is closely monitoring the situation and making all possible efforts to restore mail services to the USA at the earliest, while expressing regret for the inconvenience caused to customers.
