DGM (Operations) RINL, Karri Srinivas, Donates Rare – O Negative Group Blood For 54th Time
Srinivas could go into the records as according to India Book of Records, Ranjeet Rajput of Jaipur, currently holds the record for donating O+ blood 12 times a year
Karri Srinivas, DGM Operations) at the vital Blast furnace department of RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant donated O-Negative) which is a very rare blood group, to Ms.Khadar Jilani, a 60-year-old lady from Akkayyapalem. Ms. Jilani fell and her leg was fractured. She was rushed to KGH Emergency ICU ward as her bone came out of flesh due to the fall.
On receiving a call to donate the required rare blood, Karri Srinivas immediately rushed to Rotary Blood Bank in the city from his residence Shivaji Nagar (near steel plant) this evening and donated blood.
Several officials of Visakhapatnam steel plant lauded the service motto of Karri Srinivas.
