Events Organized At NTPC Unchahar To Mark Visit Of President Of Sanyukta Mahila Samiti

An exhibition of Moonj products, crafted by rural women, was a major attraction, emphasizing empowerment and self-reliance of women and girls

NTPC Unchahar witnessed a vibrant array of programs during the visit of Sanyukta Mahila Samiti President, Kiran Singh. The highlight was the inauguration of the Kishori Mela organized by Priyadarshini Ladies Club at the residential complex. The event showcased the creative talents of Bal Bhavan children and Welfare Girls, who displayed handmade items such as showpieces, soaps, candles, and crafts. An exhibition of Moonj products, crafted by rural women, was another major attraction, emphasizing the empowerment and self-reliance of women and girls.

Singh appreciated the stalls and commended the participants for their creativity and efforts. She remarked, “Such events not only provide a platform for talent but also promote self-sufficiency and entrepreneurial spirit.”

Adding to the event’s significance, certificates were distributed to graduates of beauty parlor and computer courses, and sewing machines were handed over to trainees from the Disha Tailoring Center. A performance of Hanuman Chalisa by Bal Bhavan children further enriched the cultural aspect of the mela.

Following the Kishori Mela, Kiran Singh served as the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony of the Mission Karm Yogi workshop. On her arrival, she was welcomed by Taruna Chhabra, President of Priyadarshini Ladies Club, along with senior members including Chandana Kumari, President of Sanyukta Mahila Samiti; Vijaya Rao, President of Uttara Mahila Mandal; Anupama Srivastava, General Secretary of Sanyukta Mahila Samiti; and Sangeeta Singha Ray, Vice President of Uttara Mahila Mandal.

Addressing the audience, Singh emphasized the importance of dedication and mindfulness in daily tasks. She said, “The mantra of a Karm Yogi is to work with sincerity and devotion. True success in life lies in staying cheerful, and practices like yoga and meditation are key to achieving this. Make meditation an integral part of your lifestyle to experience joy and happiness in every moment.”

The workshop’s trainer, Firoz Sir, was felicitated for his contribution, and the organizers were lauded for successfully conducting the event.
