GRSE Concludes MoD Swachhata Pakhwada 2024

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE) concluded its fortnight-long ‘Swachhata Pakhwada’ campaign (1st–15th December 2024) with the inauguration of new sanitation facilities in Malyada (Kunti District) and Maheshpur (Ranchi District), Jharkhand. Spearheaded by DIG Subrato Ghosh, ICG (Retd.), Director (Personnel), GRSE, this initiative significantly enhanced local hygiene infrastructure, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to improving sanitation in underserved areas.
The campaign, aligned with the Government of India’s Swachh Bharat Mission, featured a series of impactful activities engaging GRSE employees, partners, and the local community. Cleanliness drives were conducted across GRSE units, surrounding areas, and schools, complemented by sapling distributions and environmental sustainability efforts such as e-waste collection and the planting of over 50 fruit-bearing trees. Over 165 children participated in drawing competitions, while personal hygiene kits were distributed to sanitation workers to promote awareness and well-being.

Through these diverse initiatives, GRSE reaffirmed its dedication to fostering sustainable practices and upholding cleanliness as a national priority, reflecting its role as a responsible corporate citizen committed to building a cleaner and healthier India.
