Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) on Wednesday launched its flagship ‘HPCL Masterclass Series’, aimed at giving young talents a first-hand understanding of industry perspectives, emerging energy trends, and leadership insights.
The inaugural session featured Vikas Kaushal, Chairman & Managing Director, HPCL, who addressed over 2,500 students from premier institutions including IIMs, IITs, NITs, and other leading institutes across India.

The series opened with a thought-provoking Masterclass titled “The Future is Energy – What Young Professionals Need to Know.”
Drawing from his over three decades of experience in the energy sector, Kaushal highlighted five major shifts shaping the future of global energy—including the exponential growth of renewables, the expanding role of hydrogen, India’s rising share in global energy demand, and the transformative impact of technology and diversification.

He encouraged young professionals to remain curious, adaptable, and forward-looking, noting that the fast-evolving energy sector presents immense opportunities for those prepared to innovate and lead.
The HPCL Masterclass Series aims to create a bridge between industry leadership and the next generation of professionals by fostering continuous learning and exposure to sectoral transformations.
