Indian Oil Launches ‘All Women Customer-Attendant’ Pump At Lucknow
Indian’s energy major, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) today launched Lucknow’s first ‘All Women’s Customer Attendant’ retail outlet at Gomti Nagar. Kiran Bala Choudhary, State Information Commissioner, Government of Uttar Pradesh graced the occasion in presence of Dr. Uttiya Bhattacharyya, Executive Director and State Head, IndianOil and other senior executives. Mrs. Choudhary also inaugurated a ‘Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine’ at the RO premises.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Bhattacharyya said, “IndianOil stands by its core value of ‘Care’ and ‘Trust’ and abides by IndianOil’s motto of ‘Customer First’. What better than International Women’s Day to dedicate this one shift ‘All Women Customer Attendant’ Pump to Women of this city”. “All functional activities in a shift will be carried out by women and I am confident that customers would appreciate it more.”, he said.
“Apart from Shiv Filling Station at Gomti Nagar, we are launching the Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine at eight of our permanent company own company operated (COCO), retail outlets and one another pump, M/s Samarth Filling Station at polytechnic intersection”, Dr. Bhattacharyya said.
Inaugurating the Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine Choudhary looked elated and said, “This is indeed a unique initiative by IndianOil. Travelling women will be at ease now as they would not have to worry about their hygiene. Getting a sanitary pad would be as easy as taking out cash from ATM”, she said.
Subrat Kar, CGM (Retail Sales); P K Chatterjee, CGM (Operations); C K Jain, GM (Finance) and other senior officials from Indian Oil were also present on the occasion.
