  • Smt. Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, Hon’ble Speaker of the Uttarakhand Assembly, was the Chief Guest.

The awards evening highlighted the exceptional achievements of women leaders and professionals, reflecting the growing influence and empowerment of women in India’s corporate and media landscapes.

Smt. Khanduri said –

Thank you Indianpsu distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen,

Let me begin by paying tribute to our former President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam – the Missile Man of India. I never met him personally, but I once saw him at Delhi airport. While many rushed to get help carrying their bags, he stood patiently in line, carrying his own. That simple act of humility spoke volumes. He dedicated his life to this country, and we are fortunate to have had him as a citizen.

Today, we are here to celebrate women achievers. Congratulations to all of you. Your achievements are not just personal milestones – they inspire others and impact society. But success is never a solo journey. I also salute the parents, families, and mentors who support these women, helping them break barriers in fields once considered male-dominated.

Small things make a big difference. A toilet, a gas stove, or simply having your name on your house – these may seem minor, but they restore dignity, confidence, and opportunity. Programs like “Noni Ku Noni” in Uttarakhand remind us that empowering women starts with recognizing their identity and giving them confidence to dream bigger.

We must also teach our sons respect – respect for their mothers, sisters, and daughters – because a society that values women begins at home. Children observe everything we do. The way we behave, the way we treat women, shapes the citizens of tomorrow.

To all young women achievers here today: continue to strive, inspire, and lead. Your success is for you, but it also uplifts society. Keep grabbing every opportunity, and help create a world where women’s voices are heard, valued, and celebrated.

Once again, congratulations, and thank you for inviting me to share this wonderful occasion.

The Indian PSU Nari Shakti Samman Awards 2025 highlighted the remarkable journey of women achievers and set a benchmark for female leadership in India’s corporate and media sectors.
