IndiGo and Bluebox Partner to Launch Next-Gen In-Flight Entertainment on A321XLR Fleet
With this collaboration, IndiGo takes another major step toward enhancing passenger comfort and digital engagement

India’s leading airline, IndiGo, has announced a partnership with Bluebox Aviation Systems to introduce a next-generation digital in-flight entertainment (IFE) experience for passengers. Powered by Blueview, Bluebox’s modular digital services platform, the new system will be integrated as a line-fit solution on Airbus’ Open Software Platform (OSP) for IndiGo’s upcoming A321XLR fleet—making IndiGo the first airline in India to adopt this advanced technology from the first flight, without requiring retrofitting.

The new digital platform will allow passengers to access a wide range of entertainment and services directly on their personal electronic devices (PEDs), including:
- A diverse library of movies, TV shows, music, and games
- A real-time interactive moving map
- An intuitive and visually engaging GUI reflecting IndiGo’s signature branding
- Digital dining menus and additional interactive features
“OSP allows airlines to harness powerful, integrated software environments as standard,” said Kevin Clark, CEO of Bluebox. “With Blueview, IndiGo will be able to offer passengers a seamless and engaging digital experience immediately—with the flexibility to evolve in line with future passenger demands.”

Expressing enthusiasm for the new initiative, Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer, IndiGo, said, “We are delighted to introduce engaging in-flight entertainment on our A321XLR fleet in partnership with Bluebox. By enabling access to a wide range of Indian and international content on passengers’ personal devices, we aim to make their onboard experience more enjoyable and rewarding.”
With this collaboration, IndiGo takes another major step toward enhancing passenger comfort and digital engagement, aligning with its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
