INMEX SMM India 2025 to Spotlight Shipbuilding Boom as Sector Eyes 60% CAGR Growth

Informa Markets in India will host the 14th edition of INMEX SMM India 2025, South Asia’s premier maritime event, from September 10–12, 2025, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The three-day event will bring together more than 280 leading global brands, 10,000+ trade professionals, and delegations from over 20 countries, spotlighting India’s emergence as a major force in global shipbuilding.
This year’s edition comes at a time when India’s shipbuilding sector—valued at USD 90 million in 2022—is projected to surge to USD 8.12 billion by 2033, growing at an exceptional 60% CAGR.

The exhibition will feature country pavilions from Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, and South Korea, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and shipbuilding innovations. Leading maritime companies including Chowgule & Company (SBD), Colombo Dockyard Ltd, Marine Electrical, DYNAMICNORD GmbH, Volvo Penta, Wilhelmsen, Henkel, Synergy Shipbuilders, and Class NK will participate.
Delegations from Italy, Denmark, France, China, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and others will explore partnerships with Indian industry players. A B2B Meeting Lounge will facilitate structured, high-value business interactions.
